Official transcripts are a complete record of a student’s academic progress, including courses taken, transfer credit awarded, and certifications granted. Issued directly from the Office of the Registrar, they are printed on NAIT security paper and include the Registrar’s signature and/or institutional seal.
Students may require an official transcript when they are
- applying to another post-secondary institution
- applying for professional certification from an outside organization
- verifying education credentials for employment
When you apply to another post-secondary institution in Alberta through APAS, your official transcripts are sent by NAIT to the new institution for free. For all other purposes, the cost for an official transcript is $16 (per copy). Transcripts can be mailed to any address, or you can pick them up in person.
Financial holds must be cleared from your account before an official transcript can be issued. Check financial holds on the MyNAIT portal. Login required.
You can order a transcript before final marks are posted. The print dates for held transcripts are
- late January, for fall term marks
- late May, for winter term marks
