I was involved with lots of extracurricular activities, and various hospitality-related volunteer opportunities, which I highly recommend.
Being exposed to the industry through volunteering and field trips allowed me to see first-hand all the different components of hospitality. Professors with many years of hospitality experience were able to teach in a way that would make most sense to students leading directly into a restaurant or hotel. Overall, I enjoyed my time at NAIT and still use lessons from NAIT in day to day work in hospitality."
