Program Chair, Professional Meat Cutting and Merchandising
Rob Povey is a seasoned meat-cutting veteran with experience in both the wholesale and retail sectors of the meat industry. Rob started his career working in the packing house division and gradually moved into retail as he diversified his skill set.
After working for a major retailer for 18 years, Rob was given the opportunity to take a position as an instructor at NAIT and hasn’t looked back. In October 2016, Rob became the Program Chair for Professional Meat Cutting and Merchandising. He believes in collaborative, collective, concurrent and compassionate learning and teaching. He continues to mentor students outside the classroom, assisting them in their entrepreneurial ventures as they endeavour to make their mark in the world of business.
