The Academic Success Centre provides advice and guidance to all students so that they can maximise their potential at NAIT.
Academic Success Centre staff are available to help students find ways to enhance their academic success, and also address their academic concerns. The links below will take you to the service areas in the Academic Success Centre.
The Tutorial Learning Centre offers students a wide range of online resources to help in subjects like Math, Physics or English. If you find your struggling with your studies, this is a great place to start. You can rate your study skills, get specific advice, and start improving your strategies.
If you prefer to speak to a staff member in person, NAIT has a free service, with professional tutors, to assist students in mathematics, physics, chemistry, or English. The tutors are based at all three campuses.
Peer tutoring may also available. For $15 per hour, students may be able to get subject-specific tutoring, depending if a tutor is available in your program of study.
Do you have a disability, or suspect you may have a disability? Come and see an Advisor at the Academic Success Centre to find out ways to overcome the challenges you may face.
We can assist you in finding out whether you have a disability, implement services that you may need, liaise with your instructors and guide you to become an independent learner.
Advisors work throughout the year, and are keen to see students as early as possible.
Student Counsellors offer a free, confidential service to NAIT students. Counsellors see students to help address any personal or academic challenges.
Counselling offers students the chance to talk about concerns in confidence with an understanding and qualified professional. Counselling is a process of talking, listening and putting into action solutions to your problems.
