NAIT Ooks Athlete of the Week September 14-20th

Kelly L'Heureux, Women's Soccer
Kelly is a second year business student who plays right fullback for the Ooks. Coach Duxbury said that Kelly has played the right fullback position as well as anyone can play it in the Ooks three games. "She doesn't miss her defensive assignments and is able to provide width and attacking options for us", Coach Duxbury added. Although the Ooks were on the short end of a 1-0 score against MacEwan on the weekend, Kelly was the Ooks most consistent player.

Thiago Silva, Men's Soccer
Thiago has been dominant all year for the Ooks and this past weekend against MacEwan was no exception. The midfielder from Brazil lead the Ooks attack with his ability to quickly distribute the ball and switch the field of play. He also proved to be a force when he decided to penetrate with the ball and several times managed to carve his way through the entire central mid of MacEwan to create his own scoring opportunities. The first year Business Administration student scored NAIT's first goal in the Ooks 2-0 victory and was the team's best player.
