Leanne Kadatz, Women's Soccer
Leanne scored four goals this weekend and was the Ooks best player in a 10-0 win versus the Kings College Eagles. "She is a force on the pitch...very difficult to contend with for other teams. She has a tremendous work ethic and is positive in training," said NAIT Head Coach MP Duxbury. Leanne is a 1st year student in Continuing Education.
Michael McCormick, Men's Soccer
In NAIT's 4-2 win over Kings College, Michael McCormick proved to be the difference as he opened and closed out the scoring with a 2 goal game. Playing with a ton of confidence at the moment, Michael's presence in the midfield was the difference maker. His ability to distribute the ball is as good as anyone's in the ACAC, and several times he sent through his teammates with a vision not usually seen in a first year player. "Michael is a very dangerous player at the moment, he has the ability to see the game and make passes that completely break down an opponent's defensive shape as well as the ability to have a go at net from 20-30 yards." Still learning what soccer in the ACAC is all about, Michael's growth as a leader on the pitch bodes well for the NAIT program as it strives for a provincial title. Michael is a first year Business Administration student.
