2017 NAIT Athletics Awards

The annual NAIT Athletic Awards were presented Friday, April 8th at the NAIT Shaw Theatre to recognize outstanding achievements in the field of athletics for 2016-17 season and produced the following major award winners:

PRESIDENT’S AWARDS
These awards represent leadership, sportsmanship, high academic standing, for outstanding achievement in athletics both within and outside the realm of intercollegiate competition.

FEMALE INTERCOLLEGIATE ATHLETE OF THE YEAR:

Kassy Jajczay, Women's Soccer

MALE INTERCOLLEGIATE ATHLETE OF THE YEAR:

Brendan Jensen, Men's Hockey

ATHLETIC DIRECTOR AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE:

Jordan Abt,  Men's Hockey

SILVER TORCH WINNERS:
The Silver Torch Award is the highest recognized individual athletic team award. The award is awarded to the athlete on each team that has contributed the most to the overall success of the team.
