Wine & Dine at 4th & Vine
Friday, December 7th, 2007It was freezing cold that Friday night when my friend Annie and I decided to visit this watering hole in Oliver Square. I have been to this quaint wine bar before with a few friends at work right after watching a contemporary dance performance at the Arden Theatre. Being a lady in my twenties, I realized that going to noisy clubs and bars wasn’t something I found enjoyable anymore. I wanted something more classy and quiet, a place where I can have engaging conversations with my companions. 4th and Vine provided me a warm venue where I can enjoy a glass of wine, good company and a trip around the world with its superb wine, beer and liquor selections.
4th & Vine isEdmonton’s premiere wine bar and bistro established in 2004. Located downtown on 104th Avenue, the 4th and Vine is a charmingly appointed room, with a casual, friendly atmosphere. It’s a great place to sit down for a glass of wine or a full meal. They feature an extensive wine selection by the bottle and the glass, as well as an impressive array of scotches, ports, and other liquors. For dinner, they serve an extensive menu featuring eclectic Alberta cuisine (http://4thandvine.ca/location/)
The 4th and Vine prides itself with a variety of wines and liquors from all over the world. Although the prices may be steep for students like myself, this venue is recommended for those who want a little extra
