Convocation 2012

NAIT's 49th Convocation takes place:

Friday, May 4, 2012 & Saturday, May 5, 2012

If you expect to complete your program requirements on or before June 30, 2012, you are eligible to attend Convocation 2012.

Ceremonies

Each ceremony consists of:

  • an address by NAIT’s President & CEO, Dr. Glenn Feltham
  • keynote address by a NAIT Honorary Diploma recipient
  • award presentations and
  • presentation of credentials to the graduates.

Graduates must wear a gown to participate and no caps or hats are permitted.

Evening Ceremony - Friday, May 4, 2012 - 6:30 pm

  • JR Shaw School of Business

  • Bachelor of Technology in Technology Management

Gown Orders

Students can order a gown from one of the following locations starting Wednesday, February 1, 2012:

  • Main Campus Bookstore, Room X114 or by contacting 780.471.7717
  • Patricia Campus Bookstore, Room P135
  • Souch Campus, Room Z154

Cost: $25 before March 30, 2012
Cost: $40 after March 30, 2012

Gown Return

* Gowns must be returned immediately after the ceremony
Gowns are to be returned to the banquest room on the lower level of the Jubilee Auditorium. Graduates failing to return their gown and hood immediately after the ceremony will have their parchment held at the Registrar's Office until it has been returned to the NAIT Bookstore.  


Ticket Information

Guests are required to have a ticket for entry into the Jubilee Auditorium. As the number of available guest tickets is projected according to past attendance records, graduates may have up to four guest tickets. Tickets are assigned at the time gowns are picked up on a first-come, first-served basis. Please refer to the Convocation Brochure for more details.

On stage photos will be taekn of each graduate as they cross the stage. Photos will be available for downloading, free of charge. Visit the NAIT Student Portal approximately five days after Convocation. Secure login will be required.
