AWI201 CNC Wood Machining

This introductory course will familiarize the student with an integrated cell or group of CNC woodworking machines. These machines include a CNC router, edgebander, panel saw, and a drilling and dowel insert machine. After an introduction to basic machining and software theory, an emphasis will be placed on productivity enhancement using software integration. A small batch-run of a wood project will be built to illustrate the potential in productivity improvement.

Prerequisite: Journeyman Cabinet Maker, or some experience in the industry, or program chair approval
