BMI100 Becoming a Master Instructor Level I

Participants are provided with the opportunity to assess their skills in the context of adult learning and become aware of the environment in which adults prefer to learn. Principles are then applied to lesson planning and delivery, utilizing a proven adult learning model and incorporating active learning strategies to increase retention. Level I includes the following topics:

• Understanding the adult learner

• Writing daily lesson objectives

• Fostering active learning

• Planning your lessons

• Giving and Receiving feedback

Each participant (4-6 to a group) delivers two practice teaching presentations and is provided with oral, written and video feedback for personal and professional growth.
