Course Overview

Words take on new meanings as you delve into the wonders of Unified Modeling Language (UML). With the skills gained in this course, you will be able to apply the Unified Process Methodology (UPM) and interpret system-focused Unified Modeling Language (UML) diagrams.

Unified Process is based on the creation of a system through multiple iterations, with constant feedback and adaptation. UML is a language for visualizing, constructing, and recording information about software-intensive systems. Graduates of this course will be able to describe the concept of software system analysis and apply the UPM from software inception to construction. You will also be able to describe how design models and sequences can spot deficiencies in software architecture and how these reveal differing perspectives or views, like runtime, physical, and data views.

Work experience in Information Systems and Object-Oriented Analysis and Design is recommended prior to enrollment in this course.
