Course Overview

Become fluent in a computer language that is essential to programming on the World Wide Web: Modern JavaScript (ES6+). With the skills gained in this course, you will be able to create powerful web applications using Modern JavaScript.

Graduates of this course will be able to use this versatile programming language which works in all major browsers. You will also be able to describe the multiple resources of JQuery, Modern JavaScript’s popular cross-browser library, and build responsive web sites with easy-to-use features and forms that enhance user experience.

Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to create projects that use programming logic and interact with HTML and CSS to create interactive dynamic web pages. You will also be able to describe Modern JavaScript language syntax and to describe programming logic with Modern JavaScript. Knowledge and proficiency of Modern JavaScript is critical for web application development using Angular VUE JS or React JS JavaScript libraries and frameworks.

Prior to enrolling in this course, it is recommended that you complete CCTW100 CSS/HTML Level I or have equivalent work experience.

  • Remote Live Delivery: Where: Online with instructor. When: Course is scheduled at a specific time for students to attend. Instruction is delivered at set times online. Students do not come to campus.
  • Remote On-Demand Delivery: Where: Online anytime. When: No set class meetings. Coursework is accessed on-demand and online. While there are no set class meetings, there may be set due dates and deadlines for some activities. Students may interact with peers through virtual tools.
  • Remote Independent: Where: Online anytime. When: No set class meetings. Coursework is accessed on-demand and online, with no instructor support. While students choose when to do coursework, there may be set due dates and deadlines. 
  • Work Placement: Where: In-person meetings. When: Work is scheduled at a specific time for students to attend. Onsite work integrated learning. Location at a worksite.
