CCTM234 - Data Storage for Cloud Computing
You now know Cloud concepts, and what the virtualization infrastructure is that supports the Cloud. Continue by learning how storage is even more basic than virtualization, but how working with storage in a virtualized environment opens the doors to a very flexible Cloud. You will learn what Software Defined Storage (SDS) is, and how you can incorporate Direct Attached Storage (DAS), Network Attached Storage (NAS), Storage Area Network (SAN); and you will learn storage access and availability technologies such as SATA, SAS, SCSI, iSCSI, Fibre Channel, FCoE, RAID, LUNs, SSDs, Thin Provisioning, Deduplication, tiered storage, and more. This is a fast-paced course (based on the understanding you have developed in the first 3 courses) with lots of theory, and hands-on labs designed to give you a solid understanding of the look and feel of storage for the Cloud.
Prerequisite: Completion of CCTM233 Virtualization for Cloud Computing
