CTS10 CTS Summer Institute - Construction Fabrication

The Construction Fabrication summer course is designed for CTS teachers and will address issues related to safety in a construction fabrication shop. Along with basic project construction, the course will look at other aspects of the teaching profession. These include the instructor working with special needs students and aspects of Project Management related to the education environment.

Over 20 hours are spent hands-on in the NAIT workshops constructing a variety of projects suitable to take back to the classroom. Participants will be evaluated on the quality of their completed shop projects and a project management charter. There will also be some quizzes and assignments throughout the week.

Prerequisite: Bachelor of Education Degree or equivalent and currently teaching CTS.
