Turn your brain's circuitry to the attention of basic electricity concepts. Students will first learn fundamental electrical quantities laws, mathematical equations relating to electronic circuits and the proper use of basic measurement instruments. Then they will apply this knowledge to describe the behaviour of various circuits and perform circuit analysis. In addition, they will build, troubleshoot, test and measure basic circuit properties. Additional study topics include:
• energy and power
• series DC circuits and parallel DC circuits
• sources of EMF
• DC network theorems
• AC
Prerequisite: Math 30/Math 33 or equivalent.
