FDRO140 - Mechanics and Maintenance I
Graduates of the course will be able to describe foundation drill rig components and systems including the engine, hydraulic system, electrical system, undercarriage, cabin controls, and Kelly bar assembly. The course focuses on drill rig modifications that are most commonly used in the foundation drilling industry.
The knowledge acquired in this course will provide you the skills to describe how the foundation drilling equipment functions, how to implement manufacturer instructions in conducting maintenance procedures, and provide you the skills to identify and troubleshoot equipment failures. Upon successful completion of this course you will also be able to identify and report mechanical challenges and failures.
