FDRO150 - Calculations and Rigging
Upon successful completion of this course you will be able to describes basic math operations with whole numbers, decimals and fractions. You will also have the skills to determine ratio and proportion as they apply to solving drilling and rigging math problems. In addition, you will be able to determine calculations in either the imperial or metric measurement systems and convert measurements from one system to the other.
Graduates of this course will also be able to describe rigging equipment and hoisting procedures. You will be able to describe different types of slings and hardware used in rigging with a strong emphasis on the capacity of the equipment and procedures to ensure safe usage. You will also be able to describe the rigging pan, lifting equipment and hand signals.
