HOS310 Pasta Making Fundamentals

Through lecture, demonstration and hands-on preparation, you will learn to prepare fresh pasta dough and incorporate the practical techniques of cutting and cooking long pasta. The uses and names of various shaped pastas, as well as some typical sauces and sauce combinations, will all be covered. Finally, learn what to look for in purchasing a quality pasta machine. Traditional cooking techniques will also be addressed, focusing on the do’s and don’ts of preparing, cooking, matching, and presenting different pasta dishes.
