HOS560 Taste of Sicily

Sicily is a region filled with differing culinary influences because of its location. The Ancient Greeks, the Romans, the Byzantines, the Arabs, the Normans, the Spanish, and the New World all helped shape the Sicilian kitchen. From meats to spices, to sweet and sour flavours, as well as tomatoes - Sicilian tastes are unique and complex. Seafood available from the coastline is also an integral part of the modern cuisine. You will take a culinary excursion through this cuisine while preparing some of the most famous dishes.
