NAIT has teamed up with the Alberta Mycological Society to offer the best mushroom class in Edmonton. It includes an in-class theory and an off-site visit component during which students will be introduced to identifying edible wild mushrooms as well as gathering them for the cooking portion of the class. After the foray, the class will return to NAIT main campus, where they will be joined by a Chef instructor. Together, the instructors will take the students on a journey of culinary mushroom creations. Flavour dynamics, texture considerations, and of course, effective cooking techniques, will be discovered through demonstrations and hands-on production.
