MILW710 - Introduction to Millwright Industrial Mechanic 1st Year
A combination of online independent study and evening/weekend shop sessions will help build the necessary practical skills for the trade. Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to describe and demonstrate measurement, layout, metallurgy, machine alignment, hand tools, and power tools.
Students will also be able to describe and demonstrate safety, rigging, and the use of fasteners, applied print reading, and trade math.
This intensive blended delivery course (a mix of online distance, shop, and classroom-based sessions) offers a unique opportunity to study theory online and then attend classes during evenings and weekends. This combination enables students to complete material quickly.
Classes run Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings with certain Saturdays and Sundays.
