This course is an introduction to the Millwright trade covering material selected from within the course outline for Millwright Apprenticeship Training. This course exposes the student to the fundamentals of Millwright machine fitting, incorporating correct procedures when installing and maintaining machinery components, machinery shaft alignment and hydraulics. Topics include: Couplings and clutches, Bearing Installation, Removal and Maintenance and Hydraulic Systems, Maintenance and Troubleshooting. The course contains lecture delivery with some lab assignments.
Prerequisites: Currently associated with an industrial operation or a strong interest in learning about the Millwright Trade.
