MRI500 IV Certification
The IV Certification course is designed for registered technologists (RTR, RTMR, RTT, RTNM) and registered sonographers. This IV Certification course is recognized by the ACMDTT for enhanced practice in venipuncture. This 16 hour course consists of 8 hours of self learning through an online platform, and 8 hours in-class review and lab where the student will complete 5 successful IV punctures to complete the course. The student will learn how to successfully start an IV and any issues associated with IV’s.
Prerequisites: Must be a registered Technologist (RTR, RTMR, RTT, RTNM) or registered Sonographer, and have CPR Level C.
