MSIC104 Angular Measurement - Principles and Equipment

Discover how to detect and measure small angular displacements. This work is an essential part of dimensional metrology. Students will learn the trigonometric methods used in setting up and measuring angles. Students will also learn how to relate angular measurements to linear measurements. Study topics include:

• trigonometry

• sine bar/centers

• ring gauges

• taper plug gauges

• use of calibrated steel balls and rollers

• technical specifications

Prerequisite: MSIC103
