As you advance through the practicum levels you’ll gain further practice at dispensing eyeglass lenses. The third level of the practicum portion of program requires an additional 500 hours to be documented under the direct supervision of a qualified preceptor. The preceptor can be a registered optician, optometrist or ophthalmologist. A practicum manual is to be completed during this time period.
