Introduce yourself to working with Photoshop. Students will learn the main purposes of this software and how to use basic tools provided by the program. Working from existing files, students will be introduced to:
• Image retouching and restoration
• Colour and density adjustments
• Composite images
• Photoshop setup and workflow procedures.
This is an introductory level course and has been designed from a purely photographic perspective. Students will be using Adobe Photoshop CS5 in the lab.
Prerequisite: Basic computer skills. Access to a computer and Photoshop outside of class is recommended.
