PHTEI5 Photoshop for Photographers - Level II

Explore the versatility of Photoshop. Building upon the foundation of tools and techniques covered in Level I, student will continue their explorations with Photoshop functions. With an emphasis on application and technique, the focus will be on the use of tools in combination rather than on the individual tools themselves. Study topics include:

• Layer masking

• Advanced image retouching and layer techniques

• Colour management

• Actions

• Working with type

This course has been designed from a purely photographic perspective. Students will be using Photoshop CS5 in the lab.

Prerequisite: PHTEI4, or equivalent. Access to a computer and Photoshop outside of class is recommended.
