PLCC205 - Control Systems
Upon successful completion of this course you will be able to implement input and output modules on a mechatronics system and implement motor encoders using programmable logic controllers (PLC). You will also be able to program a PLC to control input flow and level in a system.
Proportional integral derivative control systems are control loop feedback mechanisms that automatically apply correction to a control function. PIDs are used in industrial control systems and other applications requiring continuously modulated control.
PLCs are an important component of industrial automation and are widely used in many sectors of the economy including manufacturing, agriculture, forestry, and natural resource extraction. There is a high demand for workers who are technically trained to build, program, integrate, maintain, and operate PLCs. This theory course is a required course in the NAIT Level II Programmable Logic Controller Certificate (PLCC) program.
