PMC106 Project Management Tools

Add to your project management toolbox. Learn about different project scheduling techniques, management of project resources and tracking of project progress. For example, students will learn to use MS Project 2007 basics, work with project tasks, outline a project, establish task competencies, and work with calendars and other scheduling resources.

Students will also learn to fine-tune the project schedule by reviewing resource workloads and task assignments, resolving resource conflicts, displaying different task and assignment details, and scheduling task constraints. Emphasis is placed on tracking project progress, applying project filters and sorting data, and customizing tables, views and reports. Working with multiple projects will also be addressed (time permitting).
