PMC111 Project Procurement Management

Are you familiar with contracts and contract negotiations? Contract negotiations are a critical element in successful project management, encompassing what to procure and when. Students will learn about the major processes used in procurement management, including planning, solicitations, source selection, contract administration and contract close-out.

The main elements of a contract are reviewed, including terminology, different types of contracts, common contract risks, contract negotiations and legalities. Additional topics include:

• make or buy decisions

• types of specifications

• change control

• configuration management

• contract termination
