Course Overview

Are you familiar with contracts and contract negotiations? Upon successful completion of this course you will be able to plan and manage the procurement of goods and services in a project environment.

Contract negotiations are a critical element in successful project management, encompassing what to procure and when. At the end of this course you will be able to describe the major processes used in procurement management, including planning, solicitations, source selection, contract administration and contract close-out.

Upon successful completion of this course you will also be able to describe related project procurement terminology, different types of contracts, common contract risks, contract negotiations and legalities. You will also be able to describe make vs buy decisions, performance vs technical specifications, managing change control, and the obligations of a project manager to adhere to both ethics and the law.

When you successfully complete the learning outcome assessment within this course, you will earn a NAIT micro-credential and receive a digital badge to share on social media and with your network.
