QAC102A ISO Quality Standards

10Discover the history and principles behind the ISO Quality Standards. The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) publishes a variety of internationally-accepted standards, such as the now commonly known IS0 9000 series of quality management system standards. Students will be updated on the status of the ISO 9000 series, including ISO 9000, IS0 9001 and ISO 9004, and their interrelationships.

Students will be introduced to the key elements and objectives of quality management systems and standards. Additional topics include:

• the eight Quality Management Principles

• registration of Quality Management Systems

• the key support role of ISO 9004:2000 in the development of the current version of ISO 9001

• an in-depth review of the current issue of ISO 9001 requirements

Prerequisite: QAC101 or PMC110

Hours: 14.00
