Develop your understanding of software quality metrics. This course combines lectures with a hands-on look at quality metrics from start to finish. Students will learn different varieties of metrics (design based, product-based and customer-based) and learn to differentiate between measurable and non-measurable quality. Students will choose a company and undertake the following tasks:
• define the company's products and services
• define the quality metrics for products and services (what to measure and how to measure)
• document processes
• determine process metrics (what are they, when to measure, how to measure and determining appropriate corrective action)
