Gain an in-depth understanding of Step B (Analyze Business Activity) of the DIRS (Designing and Implementing Records Systems) Methodology. The focus of this couse will be on analyzing the business activity and developing the Business Clarification Scheme - the core foundation document for the development of recordkeeping tools. You will participate in a case study and will collect information from documentary sources and interviews. You will then analyze the work performed by an organization and identify and document each business function, activity and transaction in a Business Classification Scheme. The course is supplemented with many hands-on examples including tips on what works well and the pitfalls to avoid in the analysis of an organization's business activity.
