RTA737 Producers Emergence Program (PEP)

Are you an emerging, independent television producer? This exciting 14-week program is focused on guiding emerging producers to develop and “pitch” projects to potential broadcasters, funding sources and other production partners. The program will help you develop your business skills and knowledge in critical areas, including project development, financing strategies, production management, legal and copyright issues, and marketing.

The program includes dynamic interaction with industry experts, through in-class sessions and video conferencing. These sessions will address a range of topics, such as:

• co-production

• all phases of the production life cycle

• building good relationships with the various unions, guilds and associations upon which any successful production is dependent

• distribution.
