SCR1 Conflict Resolution Skills

Before you can resolve a conflict, you first have to understand the issue. Begin your path to conflict resolution comprehension by examining the basic principles of the conflict resolution model. Your introduction will also include a first look at a systematic method for resolution that works through:

• determining the source and assessing conflict

• breaking down the conflict into issues and interests

• approaching resolution in a balanced manner

You’ll also engage in the study and discussion of topics such as power imbalance, alliances, loyalties, interests and other influences that complicate conflict resolution and lead to unfair play.
