SEE274 Advanced Fiber Splicing
This is an advanced FOA certification course leading to a certificate in optical fiber splicing. Participants will gain intense theoretical and practical experience in multimode and single mode fiber splicing using up-to-date splicing equipment such as single fiber and ribbon splicing machines. Mechanical splicing will be part of the hands-on training. Testing of the finished splices will be carried out using the most advanced OTDR in the field. All applicants must have a CFOT certificate.
Prerequisite: SEE270 or equivalent
