Course Overview

Oxy-acetylene welding and cutting is a versatile method for welding, cutting, hardfacing, polishing, and heating. Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to describe and demonstrate the multiple uses of oxy-acetylene welding and cutting.

Successful completion of this course will provide beginners with the skills to properly operate and care for oxy-acetylene equipment. Students will also be able to describe the types of flames and their uses, and utilize gas welding rods and fluxes. Students of this course will be able to describe and perform fusion welding and braze welding of mild steel, low temperature brazing and oxy-acetylene cutting.
