Course Overview

This course explores modern techniques in visual design for the Internet and the ways these differ from designing for print. Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to create a website interface with strong graphics and multiple links.

Graduates of this course will be able to create a user experience interface for desktop and mobile use, identify how visual design for the Web differs from visual design for print, and create a website interface with graphics and multiple links based on an industry re-design. You will be able to create a website that is easy to navigate and conveys your message. You will also be able to design a website with multiple pages and rich content to engage users and help your customers find what they are looking for.

Prior to enrolling in this course, it is recommended that you successfully complete CCTD316 Visual Design II or an equivalent course or have practical experience.

  • Remote On-Demand Delivery: Where: Online anytime. When: No set class meetings. Coursework is accessed on-demand and online. While there are no set class meetings, there may be set due dates and deadlines for some activities. Students may interact with peers through virtual tools.
  • Remote Independent: Where: Online anytime. When: No set class meetings. Coursework is accessed on-demand and online, with no instructor support. While students choose when to do coursework, there may be set due dates and deadlines. 
  • Work Placement: Where: In-person meetings. When: Work is scheduled at a specific time for students to attend. Onsite work integrated learning. Location at a worksite.
