Course Overview

Expand your knowledge of web content strategy, analytics and web usability testing. With the skill that you gain in this course, you will have the technical skills and conceptual tools needed to create and manage web content.

Graduates of this course will discuss the legal issues associated with web usability testing and be able to apply technical considerations and practical web testing methods. You will also be able to implement strategies to gather website data and manipulate it with analytical tools. As a graduate of this course you will also be able to enrich websites with content relevant to your target audience, and manage CMS data, Microformats, Microdata, JSON-LD, and accessibility standards.

This course is taught using Open Source tools and browser add-ons which you can download and install on your own computer for free.

Prior to enrollment in this course it is recommended that you complete CCTW300, Web Design Level III.

  • Remote Live Delivery: Where: Online with instructor. When: Course is scheduled at a specific time for students to attend. Instruction is delivered at set times online. Students do not come to campus.
  • Remote On-Demand Delivery: Where: Online anytime. When: No set class meetings. Coursework is accessed on-demand and online. While there are no set class meetings, there may be set due dates and deadlines for some activities. Students may interact with peers through virtual tools.
  • Remote Independent: Where: Online anytime. When: No set class meetings. Coursework is accessed on-demand and online, with no instructor support. While students choose when to do coursework, there may be set due dates and deadlines. 
  • Work Placement: Where: In-person meetings. When: Work is scheduled at a specific time for students to attend. Onsite work integrated learning. Location at a worksite.
