CMIS3344 - Accounting Information Systems
This course will provide the student with an understanding of how computer based information systems are used for management and accounting in today’s business environment. On completion of this course students will be able to make decisions to successfully apply information systems to achieve business objectives. Topics include business controls, systems theory, systems documentation tools, business processes, e-commerce, internal controls and security. The system development life-cycle approach, including systems analysis and design concepts, are also included. A combination of lectures and practical focused interactive exercises will support these theoretical concepts.
Prerequisite: CMIS2250. This course is available to Open Studies students.
