DNTL2351 - Advanced Fixed Prosthodontics
This course will introduce the techniques required to build and fire dental porcelains. The students will apply dental porcelain and metal-ceramic techniques to construct individual crowns as well as porcelain fused to metal bridges. Anterior and posterior pontic design and principles of soldering will be studied in order to fabricate porcelain fused to metal bridges. Colour theory will be applied when constructing esthetic restorations.
Prerequisites: DNTL1231, DNTL1241, DNTL1251. Co-requisites DNTL2331, DNTL2341, DNTL2361. A completion grade of C- in all prerequisite courses is required to enroll.
