ELTR2301 - Circuits III: Power Electronics
This lab-lecture course focuses on power electronics and their applications. Major course topics include: power system topologies for various energy sources, PWM motor-drives, and design of switching power converters. The course also covers power quality and thyristor applications for power systems. Manufacturer's datasheets are used throughout the course for circuit design, analysis, and testing. Design exercises are used to emphasize selected course topics.
This course is available to students in the Electronics Engineering Technology and Electronics Engineering Technology Co-op program. Prerequisites: ELTR1202, MATH1222.
