Articles in journals, magazines, and newspapers are valuable sources of information, but finding just the right article can be time consuming. Using databases is the answer. Many databases cover all of the articles published in a selected group of journals or magazines. Other databases include publications such as eBooks on IT or engineering subjects, automotive repair information, health and medical reports, and company information and annual reports.
Find magazine, journal, and newspaper articles and more. Many of our databases contain the complete article; others offer a citation (the information you need in order to locate the article).

Browse through a list of all journals available through the Library (including journals in all databases) with links to lead you to sources of the full text.
Many publishers provide DOIs (digital object identifiers) for their electronic publications. A DOI is unique to a particular publication (article, eBook, etc.), and it provides a persistent link to that item. However, when you search for a DOI via the internet, you will be directed to the item on the publisher's website and often be required to pay for access. Always check to see if you can access the item for free through the Library. For articles, check the A-Z journal list; for eBooks, check the library catalogue.
The Lois Hole Campus Alberta Digital Library (LHCADL) is an initiative of the Government of Alberta to acquire digital resources for the benefit of post-secondary learners in the Province. The LHCADL is delivered by The Alberta Library (TAL) through 35 participating post-secondary institutions.
This initiative represents a radical change to the breadth and depth of digital resources available to the participating institutions. The initiative will also provide the supplementary technical infrastructure, staff resources and information literacy programming required to support the use of the digital content in our learning environment.
