Find Books & More

So much information is available that sometimes it is difficult to know where to start. In libraries, the logical place is the library catalogue: it tells you what is available and where to get it. Library catalogues include print, electronic, and audiovisual materials; books; eBooks; videos; standards; codes; and more. At NAIT, the logical place to start is the NAIT catalogue as the resources listed in it have been specifically chosen for their value to NAIT students and staff.

Library Catalogue

The library catalogue includes books, eBooks, videos, DVDs, streaming videos, codes, standards, handbooks, encyclopedias, dictionaries, online journals, government documents, and even websites.

More about searching the catalogue

The Alberta Library (TAL)

If the book you need is not available at NAIT, you can search most Alberta library catalogues at once! TAL Online is provided by The Alberta Library (TAL), a province-wide library consortium that works to promote universal access to information for all Albertans. You can request the book through TAL Online or, if you are in a rush, you can get a TAL borrower's card and borrow directly.

Online Codes, Standards, & More

The library provides online access to a number of publications that are important to NAIT programs, such as the Alberta Building Code, Machinery's Handbook, and the ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code.
