Gram Mosimann

Gram Mosimann, he may look like an overweight super hero from a crummy 1970’s B-Movie, but in reality? He is a starving NAIT student working his tail off for a reference; in the off chance someone will pity him enough to let him on-air one day. Self described as a rejected Muppet, he is equal parts geek, nerd, sports guy, and you will find Gram often watching the Eskimos, whilst sporting a Star Wars T-Shirt.

He made his earliest childhood dream come true by becoming a Zamboni driver! He has been apart of minor hockey as a player or referee for seven years, so working as a Zamboni driver is his wayof giving back to the sport that has been such a huge part of his life. Beforestarting at NAIT, he dabbled in acting and has appeared in eight different stage productions.

He started out at NAIT wanting to become a CFL colour analyst, but he was swayed over by the music side of radio! As an avid lover of all kinds of rock, you can expect to pick up all sorts of somewhat quirky factoids on the music he loves while listening to him on NR92. You can tune into Gram’s ramblings on his solo show “The Other Side” lighting up Internet radio from the scenic NR92 Studios, Monday's 8 to 10.

Gram (hereafter refered to as "The Personality") is not responsible for any loss, damage, theft, dysentry, or combustion that may occour to the listener whilst listening to the The Personality.

Graham has his "Ink!"

Alright so I FINALLY got around to to getting my tattoo, and its everything I hoped it would be. I was a bit nervous when I walked in to the studio, the pain aspect was a big part of that nervousness.

While the session was short (an hour and 45 minutes) my artist decided to only charge me for an hour and f15 minutes! He made the entire process very simple and relaxing. I strongly recommend to head over to Crimson Empire, they do fantastic work! The only parts that were really painful were the bold outline and the white highlights. After your skin has been worked on, a fine tipped needle working over it again is less than pleasant for sure.

What I found most interesting about the entire process was that after a little while, the pain becomes empowering and enjoyable! It was a very off feeling but I can honestly say that I cannot wait to get my next work done!

Tattoos? Yes? No? CONFUSED?!

Ah the age old question, how best to be mindlessly rebellious and fight against "The Man." In decades gone by, youth would take to their local body modification studio and get "inked" (That's what the kids say right? "inked") But the societal views on tattoos have changed much over the years, and recently I booked an appointment with an artist to get my work done.

I'm not doing this to protest the Establishment, man. But to symbolize the connection I have between my acting past and my radio future. The last play I performed in placed a heavy emphasis on feathers throughout the play. So as of Friday the 24th, I'll be getting one feather for every radio station I have worked at. Including NR92 and two other stations I'm spending time at.

I'm not rebelling, I'm not throwing a middle finger towards the rest of society...I just want to show my love for my past, and my present.

Oh, and I'm adding a new feather to the collection every time I work at a new station.
