Cloud Computing and Virtualization Certificate
This certificate will be discontinued as of June 30, 2019.
This certificate program is for both IT administrators who are familiar with a traditional data center and for those who want to learn everything 'Cloud' and to gain a comprehensive understanding of data center virtualization. Although a background in IT will 'flatten the learning curve', this program assumes you know nothing about the Cloud or virtualization technologies. As you build a foundation of concepts, hands-on labs allow you to build necessary skills. As a stepping stone to becoming a trusted Cloud and Virtualization Expert, this program, along with additional self-study, will enable you to challenge the CompTIA Cloud+ certification exam (CV0-001).
Key topics include:
- Data Center virtualization technologies and strategies
- Public, Private, and Hybrid Clouds
- Cloud storage, security, and availability
- Pros and cons of various cloud strategies
- The difference between the traditional data center to one that is virtualized and cloud-based
Prerequisite: Experience with and knowledge of networking in a Windows Server environment is essential.
A Cloud Computing and Virtualization Certificate will be awarded upon completion the following seven courses:
|CCTM231||Cloud Computing Concepts and Basics|
|CCTM232||Cloud Computing Resources and Infrastructure Paths|
|CCTM233||Virtualization for Cloud Computing|
|CCTM234||Data Storage for Cloud Computing|
|CCTM235||Security, Access, and Availability for Cloud Computing|
|CCTM236||Cloud Computing Best Practices|
