SafeStart
Overview
NAIT is proud to offer SafeStart, a comprehensive program that provides a unique approach to workplace safety training in order to improve safety for workers and the people around them.
SafeStart teaches workers to be aware of their actions and how to better focus on tasks at hand. The SafeStart process has reduced injuries for over 3,000 companies around the world, and the benefits of the training extend to productivity and employee engagement as well.
Sustained awareness, sustained success
When safety awareness is up, injuries are down—it’s a powerful concept found at the heart of SafeStart training. By reinforcing knowledge with practical techniques, workers are taught how to stay more alert and avoid risk throughout their workday.
SafeStart theory and practices are relevant and applicable in every industry around the world and are built to last. Students are taught effective sustainability measures to ensure that their improved awareness is maintained over the course of their careers.
Fewer injuries, better productivity
According to SafeStart Canada, companies that have invested in SafeStart training have seen a significant reduction in the rate of injury for their employees, along with better supervisory and peer-to-peer communication.
SafeStart training has also shown to improve productivity and production quality. By working safer and smarter, companies can reduce defective parts and costly errors, resulting in increased morale and output.
Train smarter, not longer
SafeStart is 1 of the most valuable safety training programs, because workers learn transferable skills that keep them safer in all aspects of their job and life outside of work. This means fewer slips, trips and falls, personal protective equipment (PPE) compliance, better driving and more—all from 1 training program.
Improve engagement and safety culture
SafeStart gives safety managers and supervisors an effective playbook to secure employee buy-in for safety. With everyone on the same page, the safety culture gets stronger.
