This program is designed primarily for people seeking employment as aircraft structures technicians. Your mechanical aptitude, precision and ability to work with your hands are required for your success in this program.
The curriculum is designed to provide you with broad, basic knowledge of the principles involved in modern aircraft structural repairs. Students receive a variety of functional training in classroom, lab and shop settings. Once students demonstrate a satisfactory level of knowledge and skills, training progresses to include work on actual aircraft and parts, restoring them to airworthiness as per Transport Canada standards. This program is structured to help students earn an AME “S” category licence after successfully completing and documenting their work experience time credit and writing the relevant Transport Canada examinations.
